Every morning she awoke with a note and a rose by her bed,

She would smile as his words washed over her as she read,



You are more precious to me then diamonds or the most perfect pearl,

I am greatful every day that you are my girl,

As she went to get dressed a bath would be running hot,

She would think he always knows how to always hit the correct spot,

Each night when he got home dinner would be made a smile always on her face,

She would thank God for sending her a man full of such love kindness and grace,

People would say their marriage was old fashioned but they knew the love they shared was ever lasting and true,

For in their hearts they knew it was the simple things in life that truly show how to say I love you
